Roma have long been a key player in Serie A, combining tradition with flair and representing a city steeped in history, culture, and competitive football. Matches at the Stadio Olimpico are more than just games—they are events that stir deep emotion among locals and visitors alike.
AS Roma tickets are in constant demand, especially for fixtures against rivals and European encounters under the Roman sky. The club's rich narrative and passionate following make every home match an experience worth witnessing.
Historic AS Roma Moments
AS Roma's first major league success came in the 1941–42 season when they won their maiden Serie A title. The club would later secure two more league championships, one in 1982–83 and another in 2000–01, each triumph celebrated with citywide joy and unforgettable scenes at the Stadio Olimpico.
Roma has consistently been competitive in both domestic and European competitions. Their appearances in the European Cup Final in 1984 and UEFA Cup Final in 1991 demonstrated the club's strength on the continental stage, even if those campaigns ended in narrow defeats. Their determination was rewarded decades later with European silverware once again, strengthening their historical credentials.

Another unforgettable moment came in 2022, when AS Roma lifted the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League trophy. Biggest Rivalries
AS Roma's greatest rivalry is with city neighbours Lazio. The Derby della Capitale is one of the most intense and emotional derbies in world football. Played at the shared Stadio Olimpico, the match divides the Eternal City in two, with pride, honour, and bragging rights all at stake. The passion from both sets of fans makes it one of the must-watch fixtures in any Serie A season.
Roma also shares a competitive rivalry with Juventus, stemming from many high-stakes league clashes and title races. Matches between the two often carry significant importance and are played with added intensity and drama.
Stadium Atmosphere
The Stadio Olimpico, one of Italy’s largest and most historic stadiums, has been Roma’s home since the mid-20th century. With a capacity of over 70,000, the stadium creates an imposing yet majestic environment for visiting teams. On matchday, the Curva Sud—the heart of Roma’s ultra support—comes alive with coordinated displays, songs, and non-stop chanting.
The atmosphere during derby games or European nights is electric, often reaching fever pitch. The connection between the fans and the club is deeply personal, and the Olimpico serves as the stage for their unwavering loyalty and voice.
