Often considered to be the most famous club in the world, Real Madrid are one of football’s most successful teams. The club was formed in 1902 and have worn their famous all-white kit adorned with the crown of the King of Spain ever since.
Real have played their home games at the massive Santiago Bernabéu since 1947, which seats over 80,000 supporters. The club has a rivalry with fellow Madrid club Athletico, as well as FC Barcelona, with whom they contest the “El Clasico” derby.
Real’s dominance began in the 1950s when they won the first 5 European Cup finals to ever have been played. Legends of the game such as Alfredo Di Stéfano, Ferenc Puskás and Francisco Gento helped the club achieve this feat, in addition to winning 5 league titles in 7 years.
In more recent years, Real Madrid’s squad was named “The Galacticos” meaning “the superstars”. This was due to new club president Fiorentino Pérez spending money on world-class players such as Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, David Beckham, and many more. Real Madrid was, of course, also home to Portuguese Legend Cristiano Ronaldo, who helped the club win a number of La Liga and Champions League titles. Despite the departure of some world-class players, Real Madrid remain one of the best sides in Europe.
The new squad will look to replicate past success. Safe Ticket Compare lists all available ticket prices on the market to help you watch one of the most historic clubs in the world battle it out for domination. Tickets are available for both home and away matches in all competitions.
