Coming from the West Midlands of England, West Bromwich Albion Football Club is one of several clubs in the area with a long and impressive history, dating all the way back to 1878.
The Baggies, as they’re called, were one of only 12 founding members of the Football League in 1888 alongside long-standing local rivals Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Matches between West Brom and Wolverhampton have been coined the Black Country Derby matches, one of the fiercest derbies in English football.
West Brom have a league title to their name that was won in the early 1920s, but the Baggies are currently hoping to end a trophyless period of over half a century.
Throughout this time, however, the club has put in impressive displays in its famous navy blue and white striped kit in the top flight of English football and has proven the loyalty of its fanbase.
West Brom are looking to bring glory back to their home ground, The Hawthorns, a cosy but electric stadium with a capacity of nearly 27,000.
